2021 CMTSE Recertification5 August 2021 - 1 November 2021
COVID-19 has hampered CMTSEs' ability to earn the 27 Professional Development Points (PDPs) needed for recertification. AMT realizes this challenge and the CMTSE Committee has authorized a one-time, abbreviated recertification process.
2021 Recertification Process
CMTSEs due to recertify can bypass the normal requirement for 27 PDPs. Instead, two steps are required to recertify prior to November 1, 2021:
- Complete a brief e-learning course on technologies that are transforming manufacturing: additive, AI, AR, automation, digital twin, and generative design. Approximately 1 hour in length, this course will be available in late summer 2021.
- Remit payment of the $150 recertification fee. This is unchanged from previous years.
NOTE: The traditional PDP requirement will resume in 2023. This is a one-time alternative. Recertification provides a renewed three-year certification.
Register now to remit payment of the $150 recertification fee. Following payment, AMT will notify you directly when the e-learning course becomes available.
